If you’re new to the idea of exploring therapy--welcome! Trying to find a therapist can be an overwhelming and daunting experience. This can be due to cultural stigmas, the “someone has it worse than me” effect, or questioning if it will even be helpful. Perhaps your family or friends have suggested you should see a therapist but the idea of reaching out makes you feel vulnerable and awkward. These are all normal feelings. Mental health is an essential part of our wellbeing that often gets neglected. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, trauma, or simply seeking personal growth, therapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore your feelings and develop coping strategies.
